TRAVEL HOCKEY (Registration opens 10/16/11)
Dragons: Dreamsports hosts two types of Travel Hockey teams. Our Dragons Program is a full club travel program.
Teams travel throughout the region and some further to compete in Tournaments. Tournaments are usually Friday through Sunday. The season starts with Tryouts November 6th and runs through the end of June of the following year. We generally host 2 teams in each age group starting with 8U through 16U. The team fee covers at least 30 hours of practice throughout the season. Dragons players must purchase a Dragons jersey. We change jerseys every two years and this is the second year for Dragons so players that have a jersey can use it this year. Our jersey partner will be at the first team practice for sizing and ordering.
Player Fee is $355.00 and includes a yearly Dreamsports Membership ($25 value) as well as attendance at a unique 2 hour clinic program the weekend of 3/5 and 3/6 2012 hosted by Ray Matz ($50 value) (Jerseys and Pants are extra). All Travel players will now be able to attend Youth Pick-up on Saturdays free of charge, a benefit worth up to $180.
The spirit and intent of the Dragons program is to host the most competitive teams possible and is a significant time and financial commitment usually playing in two tournaments per month. We request that players play at least 2 seasons of rec hockey at Dreamsports in order to play in order to ensure they are getting enough Hockey time each week.

Action: The Action Program is a “Travel Lite” program intended for players that are unwilling or unable to make the full time and money commitment to Club Travel. Teams compete in Travel Lite tournaments or local tournaments at Dreamsports. Tryouts for Action are November 13th and the season generally ends a little earlier (late May of the following year).
Player Fee is $225.00 and includes a Yearly Dreamsports Membership and a unique 2 hour clinic hosted by USA Clinics for the teams on the weekend of 3/5. Jerseys are new this year and will be purchased directly from our supplier. Ordering will occur at the first practice.
The spirit and intent of the Action Program is to provide players an opportunity to experience tournament hockey with a reduced financial and time commitment. Teams are not neccessarily less competitive than Dragons teams. We have more flexibility with Action team roster decisions than we do with Dragons as we try to meet the needs of coaches, players, and parents when forming teams. We request that players play at least 2 seasons of rec hockey at Dreamsports in order to play in order to ensure they are getting enough Hockey time each week.
